In January 2012, Mrs. Nadia Cohen, Eli Cohen's widow was invited to the archive by its manager, Mrs. Ilana Alon, who gave Mrs. Cohen, in a touching ceremony, documents containing new evidence from the time of her husband's trial.
These materials, over 200 pages, were collected and edited by a special team headed by Mrs. Alon. From the multitude of intelligence matter the team selected those documents containing the trial's protocols, the death sentence and various items from the Syrian contemporary press. (The materials were translated by Intelligence Branch personnel.)
Here we present for the first time some of these documents; a touching and rare historical document, illuminating Eli Cohen's devotion and insufferable struggle in his last days.
