Operation Entebbe / Jonathan

​​​​On June 26, 1976, Palestinian terrorists hijacked an Air France aircraft on its way from Tel-Aviv to Paris, landing it in Uganda where they gained local support. Following the landing, all passengers, excluding Israelis and Jews were released. The latter were kept hostages until the fulfillment of the hijackers' demands, the release from prison of Palestinian terrorist in Israel and abroad.

In one of the most daring military operation in the IDF's history, in a scene, 4,000 kilometers from Israel, the hostages were freed and brought to Israel.

35 years later The IDF and Defense Establishment Archive presents the official debriefing of the operation, prepared in the history department of the General Staff. The report is presented in full, excluding some still classified documents.
