A double wedding and joy at a romantic armored corps workshop
The IDF and Defense Establishment Archive presents photographs from a double wedding celebrated at an armored corps workshop, reported in Ba'Mahane on December 30, 1958. Sergeant Yoram, a tank inspector, married Corporal Bracha a clerk at the workshop. Sergeant Zeev, a car mechanic married corporal Tamar, a storekeeper. According to the report the pairs met at the base.
The brides were clad in long white wedding dresses, the bridegrooms in their dress uniforms.
Five more couples who met during their military service were married previously in the workshop. The weddings were photographed by Moshe Fucks from Ba'Mahane.
