Intelligence in the war

Aharon Yariv, chief if the intelligence branch testifies about pre-war intelligence, about the doubts whether to attack first, to occupy the Old City and the Golan Heights, and about the complex relationships between the military and political echelons:

The Minister of Defense advocated the closure of the Old City due to concerns about the holy places, the world's reactions, etc.

Dayan was adamant in his demand not to reach the Suez Canal.

"While reading some documents I was called to the phone, the Defense Minister is permitting Dado to reach the Golan Heights by a chopper."

In the exhibition one may find testimonies of other intelligence officers about battles, lessons learnt from the war, the lack of intelligence and about heroic combatants.
