​​"The Sinai War"

From October 29, 1956 to November 5, 1956, the IDS seized the Sinai Peninsula, as part of a joint Israeli-French-British operation, intended, from Israel's point of view, to achieve calm in its border with Egypt, and to remove the blockade of the Bab-el-Mandeb strait. 182 IDF soldiers fell in the war and 800 were injured.
